Excepsure General Insurance Services is a Managing General Agency(MGA) with expertise in non-standard auto insurance. The Excepsure name is new, but the company comes with decades of experience in a company and a MGA environment.

Excepsure is not the traditional “MGA” but rather prides itself on developing long term relationships with quality Insurance Carrier partners and focusing on disciplined underwriting, Exceptional results and Exceptional service using new and innovative technology.

Our Story

Chip Craze, Owner/President/CEO, brings Excepsure to the market with over 30 years of industry experience. He brings deep-rooted knowledge and a proven leadership team that has spanned both the Insurance Company and MGA environment. 

A Brief History:

In 1979, Chip’s father started New South Insurance Brokers of GA as a nonstandard MGA.  In 1988, his father founded Southeastern Security Insurance Company which became one of the largest non-standard auto insurers in GA and where Chip and many on his current team got their start. In 2000, the company was acquired by Everest National Insurance Company (ENIC) where Chip and his team remained with the Company and continued to run it as Everest Security Ins Co. In 2013, the business was “lifted out” by Arrowhead General Insurance Agency (AGIA).  Chip ran the “wheels” division for Arrowhead until his departure to start Excepsure in 2022.

Chip and his team will leverage their experience and knowledge from their past into building a world class MGA that has the discipline of an Insurance Company and the efficiency of an MGA!
